Aircraft Covers and Bungs

  

The Fine Group has a long association with the commercial aircraft industry. This has resulted in the development of covers and dams for a wide variety of fixed and rotary winged aircraft and various airframe types.

  

In each case an aircraft cover has to be a bespoke design. When designing the covers from the outset, we take into account the exacting usage condition of the aircraft and choose manufacturing and fabric technologies, which can robustly withstand the extremes of the environments encountered. We pay specific attention to desert and arctic conditions and have learned a great deal from having our covers and bungs in prolonged service in these extreme conditions.

  

   

Materials specified include Hypalon, Nylon, heat reflective textiles, technical foams and padding. We are always endeavouring to seek new materials and technologies for application in specialist markets, such as the aircraft industry, to ensure our products perform well and remain fully effective thought their specified service lifetime.
